We would like to tell you about the tents that we have here at Firecrest Valley.
If you have stayed with us before then you will know that until now, we have had 1 style of bell tent in 3 different sizes. We have the 4-meter tents that sleep 2 people, the 5-meter tents that sleep 4 people and we did have 6m tents sleeping 6. This year we have replaced the 6-meter glamping tents with two brand new bell tents in a slightly different style.
We have opted for 2 different luna bell tents. These have higher side walls than the traditional bell tents so will offer even more space inside. These are 5-meter tents and will sleep 4 people. We can’t wait for the weather to pick up so we can get the tents up and take lots of photos for you all to see!
Including the two new tents, we will be offering a total of 8 tents to hire. We have been considering the layout of the site and after lots of you wanting to book more than one tent at a time, the tents will be loosely grouped together. Each tent will still have lots of its own space so don’t worry if you only want to book a single unit! Have a look at our updated site map and choose the perfect combination of tents for your stay.
Now lets talk toilets! Here at Firecrest Valley we have compost toilets! And we get it, they can be a little intimidating if you have never used one before! But we have had some fantastic feedback about our toilets; they are clean, they don’t smell and most importantly they have a minimal effect on the environment.
If you stayed with us in 2021 then you might remember our feedback forms in the tents asked if you’d prefer communal toilets or an individual toilet/shower for each tent. The feedback was mixed but we have decided that if we went glamping then it would be great to have our own personal toilet and shower. We are, therefore, going for it and building several new toilet/shower units. By the summer holidays, each tent will have its own toilet and shower unit located nearby. These are all being built on site…look out for future blog posts telling you more about the construction!
